Selkirk Rex Cats have curls and curly whiskers. They are available in various coat colours as wel as in shorthair and longhair.
Not only the unique appearance but also the excellent personality of the Selkirk Rex cats makes them something special. Selkirk Rex Cats have a special relation to humans; they are very payful ans intelligent. With their affectionate, uncomplicated kind, they wrap round one's finger. They watch their humans acting gladly and would copy all his acting if they only could.
The Selkirk Rex cat is very flexible and can live in the flat without problems.
Also with children's they come to terms very well. Likewise alredy existing pets are nor a problem. The playfulness, the unbelievable simplicity and the stunning charm of those cats make the Selkirk Rex the ideal pet. The Selkirk Rex cats is a still young, rare breed. To create the necessary genetic range cross breeding is it still allowed for some years using Persian and British Shorthair cats.
Therefore also straight haired Selkirk Rex cats possible.

Es gibt sie in vielen verschiedenen Fellfarben, in Kurzhaar und Langhaar. Aber nicht nur das einzigartige Aussehen, sondern auch die ausgezeichneten Charaktereigenschaften der Selkirk Rex machen diese zu etwas Besonderem. Selkirk Rex KAtzen sind sehr menschenbezogen, sehr verspielt und intelligent. Mit ihrer liebevollen, unkomplizierten Art wickeln sie jeden um den Finger. Sie schauen ihrem Menschen gerne bei seinem Tun zu und würden am liebsten alles nachmachen. Die Selkirk Rex ist sehr anpassungsfähig und lässt sich problemlos in der Wohnung halten. Auch mit Kindern kommt sie sehr gut klar. Ebenso sind andere Haustiere kein Problem. Die große Verspieltheit, die erstaunliche Unkompliziertheit und der umwerfende Charme dieser Katzen machen die Selkirk Rex zum idealen Haustier.
Die Selkirk Rex ist eine sehr junge, seltene Rasse. Um die nötige genetische Breite zu schaffen ist die Einkreuzung von Persern und BKH erlaubt. Daher entstehen auch glatthaarige Selkirk Rex Katzen.
